Substance abuse and eating disorders known as dual diagnosis or co-operation takes place, a small estimate of 25% of all eating disorder cases. Neither has been found separately in the primary disease. Both must be addressed at the same time, if possible, but at least the same time, it does not really lead to a relapse, and other medical problems. Eating disorders are probably the original problem of drugs in addition to either ED or a way to cope with the emotions and disturbed eating behavior.

Substance abuse and eating disorders usually also the mental part. Suffering with an eating disorder is 90% chance of also suffering and anxiety and or depression. Medicinal products for the ED patients do not necessarily like to thank in particular the disturbance, but the knife is likely to try to get some control of their lives, or just a way to Anesthetize itself. Most of the literature today suggests that the lack of dopamine or other neurotransmitters in the brain accounts for at least part of the problem of substance abuse. Environment and heredity contribute to development of this disease.

These two serious and sometimes fatal diseases are bound together, whatever reason. Eating disorder treatment due to medical complications, and length of stay is often a costly item for families to lose everything trying to save their loved ones. Drug treatments, despite the claims of some facilities have suffered, and Miss at its best, with a recurrence of a significant proportion of the disease. The good news is there for further research and new methods of dealing with both theses diseases.
